Liz Lauren bought her first camera in 1992 to document the destruction of Hurricane Andrew. A Miami native, she takes a photojournalism approach to taking pictures, hoping to capture the essence of nature, people, events and objects. Her parents, who carried an old Cannon film camera everywhere they went, first introduced Liz to photography as a young child. Today she hopes her photographs accurately capture a passing moment or tell a story. After receiving her BA in Family and Child Sciences and managing an early childhood program for several years, Liz turned back to the passion she discovered as a child and embarked on in 1992.
